OFFICES + DINING TABLE

The idea of power is explored through the unity created by the bridge, dining table, offices and the elevators. They are interconnected to enhance the nice movement inside the space.

This picture is showing the circulation of the offices and elevators where the clients (Oprah and Jonathan Ive) meet together at the dining table in the centre of the bridge.

View of Jonathan Ive's office from down the valley.

View from inside Oprah's office. It clearly shows the connection of interior and exterior part, which inside the space, the client can feel directly the condition from outside environment.

This is the road approaching the Oprah's elevator from her office. The road is created to have a texture, so that, the clients can experience the feeling and emotion as they walk on the road.

The picture showing the details of the dining table. From closer view, the table is designed to use the texture from 26 textures i have created, so it will have nice rhythm and movement.

This is actually the view of the dining table inside the bridge. As you can see, the shadows created from the building construction make a unique and distinct architectural value. When the shadows shine through the dining table, it creates unity. The dining chairs are also merged with the table to show the idea of power.

ELEVATORS

Picture showing both elevators for Oprah and Jonathan Ive. It is shown from distance which both elevators are showing its connection to enhance the idea of power.

View inside the elevator path of Jonathan's Ive elevator

This picture is showing the Ive's elevator. Something interesting which can explore the idea of power is the elevator's path. The spiral shape is a form of unique architecture which somehow can create a power. The elevator from the land will move towards the top, to reach the office by pasing the path.

This is the picture showing the Oprah's elevator. As can be seen, the elevator moves from the river up to the valley where the office is located. There is also the path where the elevator is moving based on that direction. It indicates the power which is important for this experiment.

EXP 3 Environment ( Time of Days)

View during evening day

View during the night time where there is lighting quality

Here is the image of my final experiment 3 models whcih shows the differences in time of day. It is important to take not of the overall composition of the buildings towards different time of day, to be able to check the connection of the designs to the environment.

Valley Development

Here's the video that inspires me to do the landscape of experiment 3. As you can see from the video, it shows the valley which is rich of the red rocks. It is basically the valley in East Africa which is the hometown of Oprah Winfrey. However, i'm going to develop my valley in more green concepts with the use of natural trees vegetations. This can be seen from the images below.
